Game Selection Tips for Madrichim

When selecting games for your peulah, consider:

  1. Age Appropriateness: Ensure games match your chanichim’s developmental stage.
  2. Group Size: Some games work better with large groups, others with small groups.
  3. Physical Space: Consider your available space and adapt games accordingly.
  4. Educational Connection: Link games to your peulah’s theme or educational goals.
  5. Energy Levels: Balance high-energy and calm games based on time of day and chanichim’s needs.
  6. Preparation: Ensure you have all required materials and understand the game fully before leading it.
  7. Inclusivity: Choose games that allow all chanichim to participate regardless of abilities.
  8. Time Management: Know approximately how long each game will take and have backup games ready.
  9. Jewish Content: When possible, incorporate Jewish values, Hebrew language, or Israel connections.
  10. Fun Factor: Most importantly, games should be enjoyable! If chanichim are having fun, they’ll be more engaged with the educational content.

Remember, you can always adapt these games to better fit your specific chanichim, space limitations, or educational goals. The best madrichim know when to follow the rules exactly and when to get creative!
